In September 2018, the founders of So Others May Serve, NFP formulated a vision of the belief that people of all ages are our greatest strength, and we need to do all we can to make a difference in their lives and in the communities we serve in Chicago and the surrounding areas.

So Others May Serve, NFP supports the emotional and social development of Chicago area adults, young adults and youth by providing counseling, prevention, care Management and other supportive services for individuals and families.

Dr. Tim Jones, President
Tim Jones, Ed, MSHS, has worked in behavior health since 2008. As an experienced Mental Health Professional (MHP), he has demonstrated a history of working in the nonprofit organization management industry. His experience includes managing outreach facilities, leading crisis intervention teams, serving as a behavior health counselor and more.
Honoring Our Late Founder, LaShan Hobbs Perteete
Lashan Hobbs Perteete worked in the public health sector as a licensed social worker and managing behavioral health units. She regularly had to assist and assess situations while providing verbal and emotional support.
